Suffolk Mindfulness: Swan at Thorpness Mere

Anyone can benefit from learning and practicing mindfulness, whatever background, age, gender or life experience. There is no book learning or note taking during the course, mindfulness is learned by experiencing different practices in a gentler accepting atmosphere. Regular home practice during the course with recorded guidance is strongly recommended.

Mindfulness can help with:
  • Stress, tension and anxiety
  • Depression and low mood
  • Work, family and relationship issues
  • Long Covid
  • Insomnia, sleep problems
  • Managing physical problems, chronic conditions, pain, terminal illness
  • Mood changes and irritability
  • Difficulty in concentration
  • Lack of confidence, low self esteem
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Loss of direction. Loss of meaning

Before the eight week course starts the teacher will have a discussion with each participant to find out whether the course is right for them. If a person has experienced major live events recently, the teacher might sometimes advise them to wait before joining the course.
